It was retaliatory. It was the price the CEO paid for underhanded practices that killed thousands. By denying those people healthcare that could have been life saving; he, the CEO, invited what happened. If something that would be considered illegal is done in protection of others it shouldn’t be a crime.
The best thing about Carlin was that it didn’t matter which party it was, he called them all out on their bullshit. Another one that was a good stand up comedian that we lost too early was Robin Williams. I remember him doing a movie where he played the president. It had a very “The Great Dictator” vibe to it.
There’s an old Soviet joke; a man goes to the newspaper stand everyday picks up a paper reads the headlines on the front page and leaves. This happens for a few weeks then finally the salesman asks, “Comrade, why do you only read the front page?” The guy says, “I’m just looking for an obituary.” The salesman says, “Those are in the back of the newspaper.” “Not the one I’m looking for.”
The only one I watched was the one with Gene Simmons. The “goal” was to make I think like $5000 by running a hotdog stand. So Gene, a real businessman, sold one hotdog with his signature to a fan. At the end of the episode Trump fired him. Because of some bullshit reason. I think it was because Trump didn’t like that Gene was more popular than he was and knew how to do marketing.
The last thing we need is Disney to be unfrozen. Keep him underneath the castle.
