Yeah that’s why Christian’s don’t do animal sacrifices, but the Ten Commandments are still valid, are they not? So is the rest of god’s magic book, a book that ‘Christians’ tend to not follow when they don’t feel like it. Not a Christian btw, just pointing out the hypocrisy of saying you have the word of god written and the don’t even RTFM.
Well—2024, 2025—it does seem that there’ve been fewer shootings. But I can only average the 2024 total against two months, it’s possible that January and February are just slower months. Maybe some people don’t have money for bullets or even had to sell their guns to buy eggs for breakfast. Also the news and media are completely overloaded with Trump’s (and company) bullshit 24/7.
Don’t be fooled, taxes are just a way to extract the fruit of the poor folks’ labor and give it to the rich and powerful. Always have been, since their inception. Not just in America, here in the (highly idealized by lemmy) EU I cost my company 3200€ a month, 1850€ go to my bank account and 1350€ to the government, plus up to a 21% vat from the things I purchase. Amazon pays literally 0€ in taxes.
The only realistic option is to try and change the stance of one of the two that can win the election
How would you propose to do that while also offering said party an unconditional vote? I’m not American, but if you have an answer it would be useful here too. Parliamentary systems end up pretty much the same.
I’m not talking about who’s ‘rightful ruler’ or not. The roc was a country and the communist revolution took a part of the territory and made it into the prc (a new country) while the roc still exist in the remaining territory. That’s the definition of a secession. I was just pointing out one of the holes in your analogy.
Now that you took the time to write that I have a couple of questions. Was the white terror an ethnic cleansing? I might be under informed on the matter but I don’t know anything about any ethnic groups targeted in particular. Your last paragraphs imply that the sovereignty and territorial questions about Taiwan and the People’s Republic aren’t a settled matter for the whole world (except maybe the prc). Are there many voices claiming for the Taiwan government to be the ruler of mainland China anymore? Or any territorial ambitions other than staying an independent island nation?
This is a fuse box, with a flathead you should be able to open it and/or pull a small tray with the fuse itself inside. You Brits do your electrical wiring with ring-shaped circuits and put a fuse in every outlet.
This kind of outlet is intended for things you don’t unplug and a socket doesn’t make sense, usually boilers, ovens, stoves, ACs, alarm systems as already commented…
Math’s off. You would move 116 m at 83 m/s, but since you are decelerating (accelerating in the opposite direction of your velocity really) it would be half of that, wouldn’t it (honest question I’m already in bed and quite sleepy so my math can be off too)?
