The biggest mistake I notice with non-native speakers is verb conjugation, especially with future tense. This may be because I hang around a lot of Vietnamese ESL people, idk. For example, “I go” instead of “I am going” is a common mistake I see.

For natives, the biggest mistake is misspellings and a lack of punctuation. Occasionally you’ll also see excessive punctuation and run-on sentences.

He wasn’t actually too rude about it luckily, but what I found funny is that his mod was a very basic one with a lot of competitors doing pretty much the exact same thing, and ALL of them had centering options. Maybe he just didn’t see those mods? Idk.

Similar thing here. I once went to a Minecraft mod dev’s discord to ask if there was a way to center the health bars that come with his mod. He basically said “you’re the only person who has ever asked for this, everyone else just puts it in a corner of their screen”. I feel centering is a basic feature of any adjustable UI element!

One celebrity giving an annual performance isn’t really convincing to me. What about the limits on children under 18 from participating in religious activities? The restrictions on unauthorized religious gatherings? The demolition of religious sites? The requirement for religious leaders to register with the state? The reduction of teaching traditional languages in favor of the Chinese language? These certainly seem adjacent to cultural erasure to me. These policies all have a chilling effect and make it less likely for non-CCP approved cultures to prosper, and I see no way that is not deliberate.

That makes sense on its face, Chinese imperialism typically takes the form of cultural erasure to promote social harmony and homogeneity. If they want to assimilate the Uyghur peoples then I imagine they would do it economically through changes in their material conditions and jobs, and the CCP clearly has no issues with violently forcing populations to do things they don’t want to.

Can someone “both sides” this issue for me, I keep seeing all this shit saying it’s obvious China is committing genocide and another pile of shit saying the opposite. I feel like 90% of my understanding of the issue is based on propaganda from one side or another.

What’s better is to treat the core causes of gun violence, like high rates of gun ownership and an increasing lack of common-sense gun laws.

I just use a kb/mouse combo device and treat it like a PC and use VLC/online services/DVD drive to play media. It’s not super traditional but it feels pretty easy since most of it is in a web browser!

I would just use a tiny PC and connect it to the Internet, then use Linux and pirating services to build a library of stuff. Works well for me.
