These people and whoever organized this needs to be be tried in the Hague. This is straight up a war crime.

It isn’t that they don’t want to list previous names it’s that the law was buried and not made apparent to the candidate. It wasn’t on the candidate requirement guide, the petition has no space for former names, many people weren’teven aware of the law’s existence.

While I don’t disagree with the law in theory (listing previous names in normal for things like background checks) it’s clear this law was dug up specifically to try to disqualify the candidate in bad faith.

I was so confused in 2016 by everyone who was excited for Trump, and I didn’t quite get why.

Now those same people feel a lot more comfortable saying horrible opinions in public and I’m like oh, that was why.

Yeah, the get over it in this context is more of… an attempt? At empathy. Instead of “we have to get over it” it should have been something like “we will get through this”.

My understanding is that he was basically trying to manipulate the stock price by publicly offering a sum, and he couldn’t back out without very clearly breaking SEC laws saying you can’t use your influence to directly manipulate the stock market.

If the grenades dropped on the floor when most people were sitting at a table the table may have obstructed shrapnel and prevented it from reaching any organs whose breach would result in immediate death (heart, brain, etc.). It would have to hit a major artery to kill near quickly on the lower body which isn’t a huge target.

Instead, it probably hit the legs and possibly some lower body organs, which can still be deadly but less immediate.

It’s insane that the guy who dropped them at his own feet survived though. Dude must be half shrapnel at that range.

I can’t imagine how hard it is to get a job to get yourself back on your feet when you don’t even have a permanent address.

When you unload a revolver you’re looking at it from behind, and if you just dump the casings into your hand you might not notice. Maybe that happened.

Or maybe they only replaced one bullet with a blank.

Or maybe they were just lazy and negligent.

Technically Brandon Lee was killed by a bullet. They removed the powder but left the bullet (for appearance sake since it was a revolver and would be noticeable). Since there was no powder the bullet didn’t fire out of the gun when the trigger was pulled but the primer (which wasn’t removed) igniting created enough force to put the bullet in the barrel where it got jammed.

No one noticed the jammed bullet, and when they next fired it with blanks this time (powder charge, no bullets) the powder was now forceful enough to fire the bullet out of the gun.

Essentially they accidentally made a revolver into a breach loaded firearm.

Says it was a homemade blank made from gunpowder and glue. Depends on the construction but the glue “bullet” (probably just a plug to keep the gunpowder in) should explode in the barrel and shoot out basically dust.

However you can’t guarantee the glue plug would fully disintegrate and at close range the debris can be moving fast enough to cause damage and can be hot enough to burn.

He’s just gonna have his head stuck in a jar of honey the whole time anyway.
