“Without babies there’s no future, every problem becomes secondary to the problem of not having people on the planet,” said Varsavsky. “Elon believes that a country is not the geography, a country is the people.”

Speaking to an audience at an investment conference in Saudi Arabia last year, Musk laid out the urgency of the matter. “I think for most countries, they should view the birthrate as the single biggest problem they need to solve. If you don’t make new humans, there’s no humanity, and all the policies in the world don’t matter,” Musk told the crowd over a live video.

Possible translation: “I’m going to need many, many future slaves and test subjects for my Neuralink brain chip that will be able to read your minds and maybe even allow me to take control of your minds and bodies whenever I want. Also, I need to blast lots of controllable people to Mars. Many of them will probably die. Pilgriming is hard business, after all.”

Can’t believe how out of touch this sick fuck is. “Have more kids!!” Ya, ok buddy. Maybe when you make housing available and affordable. Maybe when you make it easy to have a life at home and not completely beholden to tenuous corporate interests optimized to squeeze all of someone’s life and soul out of them. Maybe when you start to actually give a fuck about the future health of this planet, so if someone decides to bring new life into existence, they’re not debilitated by guilt at having forced someone to live in the hellish future you’re fabricating.

“Without babies there’s no future, every problem becomes secondary to the problem of not having people on the planet”

Instead, how about “With the perception of there being a really shitty future, or possibly no future, people will conscientiously refuse to bring more people into existence because they don’t want to be responsible for their childrens’ horrible and untimely deaths.”

I, for one, would feel like a complete piece of shit if I were to reproduce today because, sorry kid, the shittiest, most hostile sociopathic people happen to be in charge now and I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon…barring, of course, an extinction event you would have no chance of surviving.

Even if the global birth rate dropped to ~1.75 kids per woman (currently it’s around 2.3), it would still take over 150 years for the world population to fall to half its current level. We are in no danger of humans becoming endangered, except by our own hands. I believe this is 100% related to him being an asshole.

I don’t think we can conclude it’s 0 from what she wrote. He says he pays Ashley 500k a month and a flat 2.5 million. She says he stopped paying most of it.

I’ll assume he’s being less than honest because of specific credibility issues. If she’s being honest, she gets 250k hard maximum a year. My guess is it’s actually something like 100k. That amount, while survivable, seems very ungenerous for the richest man in the world and it’s enough of a drop from 500k that you would definitely be forced to change your purchases.

EDIT: huge error. misread per month as per year.

I figured she lives somewhere expensive, but I probably should’ve used a different word. I just decided to Google and given that she lives in NYC the money doesn’t go as far there as it would in rural West Virginia. I’ve known people who make 100k in NYC that live with multiple roommates.

              • I think I read somewhere he cut it to 20k a month, but yeah it’s a rediculous amount of money. Just move somewhere no one knows you with $2,500/m mortgage. Pay off a house in 5 years and stay out of the lime light. Take a job doing what you enjoy when the kids in school/daycare or what not if you like. Dumb situation but easy to make it decent.

During the nazi era, comedians had a field day mocking Hitler and his cronies. The immortal joke ‘the true Aryan is as blonde as Hitler, slim as Goering, and as tall/beautiful as Goebbels’. It was funny then and still funny now. Because none of them even remotely resembled the ideal they spoke about. This is even funnier when you include goblins like Himmler who was the head of the SS when he would never have qualified to even be an enlisted SS man when he was younger.

One variation of the ‘blonde as hitler’ joke did include Röhm, with ‘and as chaste as Röhm’ being the statement.

It was and still is a homophobic joke. But given that the Nazis hated gays more than anyone else at the time, I think mocking him is still acceptable. Especially since Röhm was a power broker who was critical in Hitler’s rise to power.

Isn’t it weird that we let these rich paranoid dynasty freaks control so much of our world? I find it ironic that they have more money than gods, but are just as susceptible to time and bullets as us plebs. That notion helps me sleep at night.

    Some wild stuff in there

[…] bringing the grand (known) total to 14. However, according to a new report, there could be more, as the unhinged oligarch has reportedly been known to send his semen to women he doesn’t even know.

[…] Musk has a habit of reaching out to female X users “through direct messages, some of whom he eventually solicits to have his babies, according to people who have viewed the messages.” At least one of those lucky ladies is crypto influencer Tiffany Fong, whom Musk followed on X last year. Sources told the newspaper that the billionaire had sent her a DM last November “asking if she was interested in having his child.” Wong apparently declined the offer.

During St. Clair’s pregnancy, Musk suggested that they bring in other women to have even more of their children faster. “To reach legion-level before the apocalypse,” he said to St. Clair in a text message viewed by The Wall Street Journal, “we will need to use surrogates.” He has recruited potential mothers on his social-media platform X, according to some of the people.

The Journal article notes that Musk has attempted to get all the various members of his “harem” to congregate in a compound that he recently had built in Austin, Texas.

To reach legion-level before the apocalypse

That is so psychotic. Me and most of my peers don’t want to have kids because of the state of the world. Meanwhile he wants as many as possible… to suffer? And it’s not like he’s sharing his fortune with them based on what I’ve read. He literally just wants them so they can die in the apocalypse? Does he know what an apocalypse is??

His assumption is that the band of his kids will be loyal to him and provide his bloodline the greatest chance of survival, as if the money will somehow protect him once currency fails.

Homeboy isn’t even going for a Zuck level survivalist reclass, he just expects his kids to know how to clean a deer.

[Musk’s fixer] Birchall was involved in acquiring the property for a compound in Austin where Musk imagined the women and his growing number of babies would all live among multiple residences, according to a person familiar with the matter…Zilis lives in the gated community with their children, and Musk comes and goes. Musk also attempted to get Grimes to move to the compound, but she refused. Similarly, he tried to get St. Clair to spend some time in Austin “with our kid legion,” according to a text he sent her.

It’s cult time for him now, and plenty of magats are thirsty for Flavor-Aid.

But if that’s what he’s after, why hasn’t he just manufactured an army of Musk clones? I mean, Clone and Elon are almost anagrams, after all.

Okay, actually, I’m pretty sure he probably does have a The Boys of from Brazil army of clones…I’m super surprised we just haven’t heard of them yet.

It’s actually The Boys from Brazil. Poor Laurence Olivier, he just needed a paycheck.

It’s one of those films that wasn’t really well done in its time but had an intriguing idea behind it. These are the kind of films that should be being remade in the modern era. Nice to know I’m not the only one who remembers this rough diamond, though. (Actually the Venture Bros remember the flick, too)

If I recall correctly, Olivier was in pretty dire financial straits at the end of his career, so he took on a lot more roles like this, in much more austere films.
