I know this is getting down voted but hanging done effectively or firing squad are some of the most humane ways to perform death sentences.
More traumatizing to the executioners, iirc? Remember reading that somewhere, but I may be mistaken. Correct if wrong.
Firing squad, I’d imagine even though they always used to have 1 shooter with a blank. Hanging, if they had the rope too long it can cause decapitation.
