Summary
The family of Boeing whistleblower John Barnett, who died by suicide in 2024, is suing Boeing, alleging that harassment and intimidation after he raised safety concerns about the 787 Dreamliner plant in Charleston, South Carolina, led to his death.
Barnett, a quality manager for nearly 30 years, reported safety issues such as metal shavings near control wires and faulty oxygen systems.
The lawsuit claims Boeing’s conduct caused severe mental distress, including PTSD and depression, resulting in his suicide.

It tells us that, we live in a country and a world, where evil entitled assholes, drastically outweigh the people doing the right thing.
In a perfect world, Whistleblowers would be praised, Snowden would get a Medal of Freedom and insurrectionists would be jailed or put to death for traitorous crimes of old.
But, reality doesn’t agree with that, whistlerblowers are committing suicide, Snowden is permanently in Russia because he’d likely be in prison by the US and insurrectionists are pardoned.

Capitalism is a worldwide problem, but in the USA Citizens United was a significant step. When it happened everyone said that it was only a matter of time before democracy collapsed in the USA and the billionaires had complete power. It seems the predictions were right.

no, religion didn’t cause this, but the capacity to believe something to be true just you want it to be true (faith)–and no one’s allowed to criticize your “sincerely held religious beliefs”-- 100% allowed this to happen

The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are NOT using their religious clout with WISDOM. I’m frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in ‘A,’ ‘B,’ ‘C,’ and ‘D.’ Just who do they think they are?.. I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of “conservatism.”
