    First they came for the immigrants

    And I did not speak out

    Because I was not an immigrant

    Then they came for the trans people

    And I did not speak out

    Because I was not a trans person

    Then they came for the trades unionists

    And I did not speak out

    Because I was not a trades unionist

    Then they came for the non-Christians

    And I did not speak out

    Because I was a Christian on paper

    Then they came for me

    And there was no one left

    To speak out for me

      First they came for the immigrants

      And I spoke out, because I knew the rest of the fucking poem.

      But no one listened, and I screamed futilely into the cloud until they came for me.
