    immigrants are meant to carry their green card on them at all times. i keep mine with my driving license.

    i also keep an album of photographs of my ID on my phone

      sure but these were us citizens. i am a citizen. i woild never carry my birth certificate around. what if i lose my wallet? identity theft??

        I understand, I was saying that’s why they were asked for papers, suspected of being illegal immigrants, not saying they should’ve had to follow this bullshit
