    The ability to read or not does not have anything to do with how much knowledge one can acquire, there are many ways to acquire knowledge.

          I mean, the entire point of the clip in the show is Bobby is basically being a piece of shit and talking to a group of kids literally learning English. I don’t think the source material is actually abelist in the shows context.
